Now, shenull;s the Communications Officer for the UN Foundationnull;s Girl Up
campaign.null; Being told at the age of ten that she couldnnull;t be president
because shenull;s female is what motivates her now to promote girlsnull; rights
and empowerment.null; Another passion of Andreanull;s is combating human
trafficking. Before coming to the United Nations Foundation, she did
communications for the anti-trafficking organizations Polaris Project
and Shared Hope International. Andrea has a graduate degree in
International Law and Human Rights from the United Nations mandated
University for Peace in Costa Rica and dual degrees in English and
Spanish from the University of Virginia.null; Fun fact: Andrea trains in and teaches Thai boxing and is one of only a few women on the competitive fight team.
